Report: Tom Herman "expected to move on" on major opening due to lack of interest

Texas better make its move.

Charlie Strong is likely out as head coach of Texas fairly soon, but it may not be soon enough according to one report. Texas is looking like it will keep Strong as the coach through the last game of the season next week against TCU, unless some conflicting reports are to be believed about the timeline of when he might be fired.

One report says that Strong's replacement in Tom Herman could move on from the Longhorns if they don't act quickly enough.

Tom Herman is currently being paid close to $3 million right now by Houston, but would command $5.5 million wherever he decides to go next. However, Strong would also be owed $10 million as a buyout until someone else hires him and then the amount goes down based on his new salary.
