College kickers are easy targets, and sometimes the criticism of them is unfair. Most usually don't have kicking coaches on the team, and almost every kick that goes wrong is blamed on them, even when it isn't their fault.
That being said, TCU lost in double-overtime on Saturday and this horrendous kick was the reason why.

That kick just never had a chance. Not only was it pushed to the left, but it looks like it didn't even have the leg to get there if it was straight.
Texas Tech took advantage, making their own field goal on the ensuing possession to win 27-24. The result of the game moved both teams to 4-4 on the season.
