Texas head coach makes drastic move to turn around offensive woes

With Texas' offense under fire following a miserable performance in the opener against Notre Dame and struggles last season, Texas head coach Charlie Strong has stripped offensive coordinator Shawn Watson of play-calling duties, according to collegespun.com.

Wide receivers coach Jay Norvell will take over the controls from Watson, the website reports.

After Saturday's embarrassing 38-3 loss to Notre Dame, the Longhorns need to do something to get their offense headed in the right direction.

This move certainly shows that Strong is feeling the heat after that abysmal performance. The Longhorns have a chance to get things headed in the right direction when they host the Rice Owls on Saturday.
