4-star safety Kwantel Raines spurns Florida with commitment

It's official!

This official visit appears to have impressed enough to spur on a commitment.

Earlier this week, four-star safety Kwantel Raines (6-foot-3, 200 pounds, Aliquippa, Pa.) announced that he had committed to West Virginia.

The announcement came just after Raines had taken an official visit to Morgantown, where he saw the Mountaineers fall to Oklahoma State 50-39. However, it looks like he was still happy with his visit, and gave West Virginia his commitment anyways.

Raines was also heavily interested in Penn State and Florida, having taken multiple visits to both of those schools. Those three schools, along with Pitt, made up Raines' Top 4 prior to his decision. Raines also had offers from schools like LSU, TCU, and Virginia Tech.

Raines is West Virginia's 19th commitment for the 2018 class, and is their second highest-rated commit after four-star defensive end Dante Stills.
