Purdue safety Andrew Chelf was found around 3 a.m. in West Lafayette, Indiana with a gunshot wound to his torso, according to the Lafayette Journal and Courier.
West Lafayette Police Department Capt. David Van Vactor said the gunshot was not self-inflicted, but there have been no arrests yet.

Chelf was transported to a hospital, but he appears to be alright based on a recent tweet.
Chelf was a three-star recruit in the class of 2015. He is originally from Southlake, Texas.
There has been no word yet on whether Chelf is expected to play next season for the Boilermakers.
