Auburn transfer can't figure out why school is barring him from national championship contender

This is rough if he's telling the truth.

Some schools are overly concerned with where transfer students end up going once they've decided they no longer want to play for their initial schools and Auburn is definitely one of them. Redshirt freshman Antwuan Jackson decided he no longer wanted to play for Auburn this year and made the announcement only to have himself blocked off from several schools by the Tigers.

Auburn has blocked Jackson from going to any SEC school —- a pretty common practice —-  but has also blocked him from transferring to Clemson, Georgia Southern, Mercer and Ohio State. While the first three on that list appear on Auburn's schedule, the Buckeyes do not and that has Jackson puzzled.

He told the The State that the school is blocking his transfer to those places and explained his confusion about being able to transfer to a title contender like OSU:

"My question was: Why are they blocking Ohio State for no reason?" Jackson said. "They just put Ohio State on there for no reason. My question to them is why are they blocking me from a Big Ten school when they don't have anything to do with Big Ten schools? Why didn't they block me from Michigan or Indiana or any other Big Ten school? Why would they do that immediately?"

Auburn isn't slated to play Ohio State at all and it sounds like it may even be a cocky move from Auburn thinking they could face the Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff. Regardless, it makes no sense and even if Jackson were to go there, he couldn't play this year under NCAA transfer rules that would require him to sit out a year before becoming eligible again.
