Big Ten signee airlifted to hospital following horrific injury before he's even stepped on campus

This is terrible.

Michigan State Spartan signee Lashawn Paulino-Bell had to be airlifted to a hospital following a horrible jet ski incident while his family was vacationing in the Bahamas, according to a report from Spartan Tailgate.

Paulino-Bell was reportedly airlifted from the Bahamas back to Florida where he received immediate medical treatment.

Spartan Tailgate also spoke with one of Paulino-Bell's teammates about the incident.

Via 247sports:

"While on vacation in the Bahamas, Lashawn was involved in a jet ski accident," Jean said. "He suffered internal injuries and got airlifted back to Florida to Jackson hospital."

"Jean said Paulino-Bell is in stable condition following the accident. A GoFundMe account has been set up by a relative of Paulino-Bell to help the family cover medical expenses."

It's good to hear that Paulino-Bell is now in stable condition following the incident, but that is all that is known at this point.

Paulino-Bell signed his LOI to Michigan State in February.
