Colin Cowherd has many opinions and quite a few of them are absolutely ludicrous. That's the case once again as he decided it would be appropriate to rank some of the country's best programs and put them into four tiers based on history, winning and pretty much whatever else he deemed worthy of consideration.

His first tier consisted of Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma and USC. While some of those names make sense like Alabama and Ohio State, Notre Dame has been consistently overrated for over a decade now and USC hasn't done anything since Reggie Bush won a Heisman. Oklahoma has earned the nickname "Choke-lahoma" for its play in big games and Michigan just starting to pick up the pieces from the Rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoke eras.

The second tier features Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee and Texas. Again Cowherd is swinging and missing on some of these schools. Texas hasn't been good since Vince Young had a record-breaking game against USC for a national title and Miami hasn't been good since joining the ACC in 2004. Tennessee has had its own struggles and has only recently started getting its act together with the last couple seasons under Butch Jones being worthy of talk. Auburn took a free fall after its 2013 championship appearance and hasn't been close to the same since.

Tier three looks like this:
-Clemson
-Florida
-Georgia
-LSU
-Wisconsin
Cowherd also tried to make a case for BYU in a fourth tier, but his third tier needs some work before that. Florida has beaten Tennessee the last 11 straight games so putting the Gators below the Vols makes no sense and having LSU so low is a total dismissal of what Les Miles has been able to do while having to compete against Alabama on and off the field year in and year out. Just no respect around here from Cowherd.
