Justin Fields was newly minted as a five-star recruit by 247Sports and is considered the top dual-threat quarterback in the country for the class of 2018. He has been committed to Penn State since December, but also told 247Sports that he's still open to others recruiting him.

"My dad always says, 'keep your options open,' so that's what I'm doing," Fields said. "He's kind of like my recruiting coordinator so I'm going to listen to him. He's wiser than I am. I'm just going to keep my options open [even though] I'm committed to Penn State."
Fields and his mom were in Happy Valley this past weekend, but he says he has been in heavy contact with the hometown Georgia Bulldogs as well as Florida and Florida State who have recently offered him. Fields is also a baseball prospect so that may play a role in his recruitment as well.
The 6'3", 221-pound quarterback is ranked as the No. 20 recruit overall by 247Sports and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Georgia. He has almost 40 offers including Auburn, Alabama, Louisville, LSU and Michigan State among others.
