Former LSU quarterback Hayden Rettig is headed out to Tennessee Tech after spending the last two seasons at Rutgers. He was originally a four-star quarterback in the 2013 class, but ended up transferring out of Baton Rouge the following June.

He only appeared in four games for the Scarlet Knights and completed 14 of his 25 pass attempts for 233 yards and two touchdowns. He did not make it into any games this past season and graduated from Rutgers, which is likely the reason he is now headed to Tennessee Tech.
The 6'3", 220-pound QB said "It's a good fit," Rettig told NJ.com, via 247 Sports. "I think we can do a lot there. I love the coaches. I just wanted a place where I was needed, and Tennessee Tech was the place."
The Ohio Valley Conference team just got some talent it might not have otherwise been able to recruit so it seems like a win-win for everyone. Rettig gets a last chance to start somewhere and TTU gets a QB it may not otherwise have been able to get on campus.
