Michigan's 2016 offensive line class is already quite good. The Wolverines have landed commitments from four-star linemen Michael Onwenu, Ben Bredeson, Erik Swenson and Devery Hamilton, but Jim Harbaugh and his crew aren't done assembling talent up front.
Four-star offensive guard Landon Dickerson has listed Michigan among his six top choices, and Scout's John Garcia Jr. recently spoke to Dickerson about his thoughts on the Wolverines.
"Michigan kind of came in the mix here in the spring evaluation period. I've never really looked at them before, but they made me an offer. I looked at their education, which I do at every school, and have been building a relationship with their coaches. They're just really relatable guys. Coach (Jim) Harbaugh, he's just a country guy like me. They have a great engineering program up there, top notch. I'm going for an official visit on September 12 to experience what everything is like."
Michigan is joined by Auburn, Florida State, Virginia Tech, South Carolina and Tennessee on Dickerson's list, but it is certainly positive that he is sharing glowing reviews of the institution. On one hand, Dickerson's assertion that he "never really looked at them before" isn't terribly strong, but Harbaugh and his staff have a way of convincing recruits to open their eyes, and that tact seems to be working again here with an official visit set for the weekend of September 12.
It is important to note that Michigan isn't considered the sole front-runner to snatch Landon Dickerson, but adding to this class of offensive lineman would shift things from very strong to an embarrassment of riches.
