Four-star WR Mark Webb has a new leader for his recruitment

A recent visit led to a new leader for this recruit.

Rivals.com had an update with four-star wide receiver Mark Webb Jr. (6-foot-2, 199 pounds, Warminster, PA), and it looks like he has a new leader for his recruitment: Alabama.

"They should be at the top at the moment," Webb said about the Crimson Tide. "It's between them and Georgia right now."

The change of heart comes after Webb took an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa last week. Prior to that visit, the Crimson Tide weren't even in Webb's reported Top 4, much less the actual leader for his commitment.

This could turn into a massive recruiting war, as this isn't just about one four-star recruit. Per a report from earlier this month, Webb and his cousin — five-star all-purpose back D'Andre Swift (5-foot-10, 215 pounds, Philadelphia, PA) — plan to go to school together. Being in contention to get Webb also means you are likely the leader to get Swift, too.

Webb is also considering Penn State, North Carolina, and Maryland.
