Four-star TE Hayden Rucci commits to Big Ten power

A nice commitment here.

Hayden Rucci, a four-star tight end prospect, has verbally committed to the Wisconsin Badgers. He made his intentions known on the mean streets of Twitter.

A 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end, Rucci is somewhat a member of football royalty. His father, Todd Rucci, was actually an offensive lineman at Penn State who went on to play seven seasons with the New England Patriots (1993-99). While he is staying within the confines of being a Big Ten legacy, he's not following in his father's footsteps by heading to Happy Valley.

247Sports' composite rankings rate Rucci as a four-star recruit. They have him as the No. 11 player at his position and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania.

The talented young man had offers from Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Indiana, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Virginia, Boston College, Temple and Wake Forest.

It is still early in the offseason, but National Signing Day is looming in the shadows, simply waiting to change the fortune of your favorite program's trajectory. With that being the case, most reputable scouting service websites will have a rather fluid class ranking for upcoming recruiting classes until things begin to settle down.
