"First I would like to thank God for the situation that I have been put in, and all the amazing opportunities that he has blessed me with," Duncan said on Twitter. "I don't think I would've made it along this journey without the support from my mom, guardian, siblings, friends, and loved ones. Would also like to thank all my coaches that have help me accomplish my goals as a student-athlete. Highly thankful for all the coaches that have recruited me throughout this long process. I would like to announce that I am committed to the University of Maryland."
Duncan had other major offers, including those from Florida, LSU, and Ohio State. However, it look like he has been leaning towards Maryland the entire way, and on Thursday, he made it official.
Duncan is a consensus four-star recruit, and he ranks as the No. 13 overall offensive tackle per the 247Sports Composite. With him on board, Maryland now has nine commitments for the 2018 recruiting class, ranking 27th in the nation per 247Sports.
