Les Miles could potentially have a new coaching job by the end of the week

Could he be back as soon as next season?

Les Miles has been connected to several high profile coaching jobs since being fired by LSU earlier in the season. One of the first ones was Purdue since they fired their coach so early in the season as well.

The Boilermakers are getting close to naming a coach and athletic director Mike Bobinski told the Journal & Courier earlier this month he hoped to name a coach "as close to the end of the regular season as we possibly can." Sources talking to the newspaper confirm that the announcement could come as early as this weekend.

According to a report from 24/7 Sports last week, former LSU coach Les Miles and current Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck are the "focal points" of the Purdue search, citing multiple industry sources. That report also said that Miles would plan on bringing former USC head coach Steve Sarkisian and Alabama assistant Mike Locksley with him to have on staff.

Miles hasn't given any public confirmation on whether he will be coaching again as soon as next season, but it's starting to sound and look like he will be, but the question just remains which school will hire him.
