Surprising school beating out Michigan and Ohio State in recruiting rankings thanks to latest commitment

Oh really?

It's not often that anyone outside of Michigan State, Wisconsin or Penn State beats out Ohio State and Michigan for a recruit nowadays. That's why the Wolverines and Buckeyes are consistently at the top of the Big Ten when it comes to recruiting class rankings, but it looks like Iowa is making some serious headway in the 2019 recruiting class with it's latest commitment:

That's four-star, 6'5", 225-pound tight end Logan Lee out of Orion, Illinois. He held offers from Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin among a couple SEC schools as well. While this is only one recruit and his commitment could waver by the time he gets on campus, his commitment gives Iowa a nice distinction over UM and OSU.

The Hawkeyes now have the top ranked recruiting class in the Big Ten and the No. 7 class nationally according to 247Sports. That class is right behind Alabama who will likely end up with a top five class by the time everything shakes out in the cycle.

Here are some of his highlights:
