Jim Harbaugh announces season-ending surgery for highly touted freshman

This is a bummer.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh gave an injury update on Monday and he shared that former four-star defensive lineman Donovan Jeter will not be playing this season after undergoing surgery.

The 6-foot-3, 288-pound lineman hadn't recorded any stats in the first two games of the season, but he is expected to be a big part of the defense when he gets back. With a frame like that, Jeter should be contributing sooner rather than later. He was ranked as the No. 12 strong-side defensive end in the class of 2017 and the No. 8 recruit overall in the state of Pennsylvania according to 247Sports.
