Ohio State staff fearful one of their top recruits could flip to one of these powerhouses

Sounds like they should be pretty scared.

Shaun Wade is a top three cornerback in the country and currently committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes. However, the Buckeyes staff is growing more and more concerned that Wade might be leaning toward opening up his recruitment and committing to another a little closer to home.

Wade plays for Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida. That is considerably closer to SEC country than it is Big Ten country and it doesn't help that Wade's mom is a huge Crimson Tide fan. His mom isn't exactly pushing him to become an Alabama man, but also has let him know where her allegiances would lie if he goes to OSU.

He admits that the Buckeyes staff has been nervous about where he stands with his commitment.

"To be honest, they have expressed that, but I have told them that I am 100 percent and this is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, so I still want to visit other schools if I can," Wade said.

Wade was actually born in Alabama, but moved around before settling down in Jacksonville where he's lived since he was eight. Most of his family lives in Montgomery, Alabama so the pull to go to Alabama is pretty strong. He also left the conversation with this quote:

"Alabama has always been one of the top schools in the country for my entire life pretty much," Wade said. "If they want me as their No. 1 cornerback recruit, that's very big for me."

If that's not a huge hint then I don't know what is!
