One of the most sought after prospects of the Class of 2017, Cam Akers, revealed his top 10 prospective schools and it's as loaded as one could have imagine.
The nation's No. 2 running back prospect, who once committed to Alabama, is open to several other SEC-schools (six total), as well as other prominent programs across the country, including Ohio State and Michigan.
The 5-foot-11, 212-pound rusher was committed to the Crimson Tide for seven months, before reopening recruitment in March.
Though Alabama still seems to have inside track on landing the five-star player, Georgia is a dark horse that may snag him from under Nick Saban's nose.
"It would be hard to choose what my favorite part of the visit to Georgia was because I liked everything about it," Akers told Kipp Adams of 247Sports. "I love Georgia and my family does too. ... Georgia told me they are not bringing me in to sit on the bench next season. They are bringing me in to compete for the starting spot in 2017."
Alabama already landed the No. 1 running back in Akers' class and if he's not keen on playing second fiddle, Akers could be looking for a back field not as crowded as the one in Tuscaloosa.
