Earlier in the month, four-star 2017 defensive back Markquese Bell announced seven college football programs as his "finalists". Now, Bell has cut that list down to five teams and, non-coincidentally, those squads also represent the quintet of visits that he will take this fall.

Phil Kornblut of SportsTalkSC.com brings word of Bell's plans, and his official visit schedule is quite interesting. First, the 6-foot-3, 194-pound defensive back will visit Ann Arbor to watch Michigan take on Penn State on Sept. 24, followed by a trip to Gainesville for LSU-Florida on Oct. 8 and College Park for a match-up between Michigan State and Maryland on Oct. 22.
Then, Bell will transition to Clemson for a visit on Nov. 12 when the Tigers take on Pittsburgh, followed by the grand finale with a journey to Columbus for the annual battle between Michigan and Ohio State on Nov. 26. As you may notice, the talented prospect will see the Wolverines twice during this span (hello, Jim Harbaugh), but at this point, it is tough to discern a real "leader" for Bell, who hails from Bridgeton, N.J.
With heavy hitters like Harbaugh, Urban Meyer, Jim McElwain and Dabo Swinney in the mix, this should be an interesting recruiting battle to monitor in the coming days. We won't have to wait long for a "final" answer, though, as the report also indicates that Bell will announce his commitment on Dec. 1.
Stay tuned.
