Huge get for Urban Meyer.
A five-star talent, Petit-Frere was one of only three prospects of his caliber left who would be making their intentions known via the mean streets of ESPN's National Signing Day coverage.
Petit-Frere officially visited Notre Dame and Michigan back during the season. Naturally, that resulted in all sorts of speculation that he was choosing between one of those two programs.
On the other side of the scenario, he waited until the last three weeks to visit Ohio State, Alabama, and Florida. The Buckeyes got the last chance to talk to the offensive tackle face-to-face. Of course, this began new speculation that he would end up with one of those three programs.
Considered an other-worldly type of lineman, as it always is with these prodigy football players, it will be interesting to see if Nicholas Petit-Frere makes an immediate impact of the team chooses to ease him into a bigger role as he gets used to playing big boy college football.
