This past Monday, the college football transfer portal was officially open for business, and big names from schools around the country, including Washington State signal caller Cameron Ward, hit what is basically the open market in the sport, and oddsmakers are already predicting where he'll end up.

The top five teams per SportsBetting.Ag is the following:

In 2023, Ward completed 324 of 486 passes (66.7%) for 3,723 yards, 25 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also added 384 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 47 designed runs.
Ward's college career began at Incarnate Word in 2020. He was there until the 2022 season, when he transferred to Washington State.
In his college football career, he's a lifetime 64.4% completion rate passer for 13,822 yards, 119 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions. His 2023 campaign was his best at Washington State, improving in every passing category.
Of course, Ohio State's 2023 start, Kyle McCord, also entered the transfer portal. McCord and the Buckeyes went 11-1, losing the season's final game to Michigan. McCord finished his 2023 campaign, completing 64.7% of his passes for 3,169 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
In addition to McCord and Ward, other quarterbacks like Riley Leonard, Gerry Bohanon, Will Howard, Brock Vandagriff, Will Rogers, Dillon Gabriel, and more entered the portal. So far, Leonard, Vandagriff, and Rogers have committed to Notre Dame, Kentucky, and Washington, respectively.
As for McCord, Ward would take over for SportsBetting.Ag has Nebraska listed as his most likely team at +250, followed by Texas A&M, Florida State, and Oregon.
