A former Ohio State defensive end showed he deserves more playing time in a preseason game against Arizona. John Simon, who is in his third season at Houston, has moved to outside linebacker. After watching what he did to a Carson Palmer pass, it looks like a good position change.
Simon batted down a pass from Palmer, grabbed it out of the air off the deflection and ran it 60 yards for a touchdown.
The Texans beat Arizona 34-24.
In three seasons, Simon has 6.5 sacks and 47 tackles. He's been active for 34 games with seven starts (all with Houston last year).
