Oklahoma's backup quarterback got aggressive in providing bulletin board material for Ohio State

Bulletin board material is overrated but this is a doozy from Oklahoma's backup quarterback.

Oklahoma freshman quarterback Austin Kendall hasn't thrown a pass at the college level, but he is already playing a part in this week's monster match-up between the Sooners and the Ohio State Buckeyes. In advance of the game, Kendall was (inexplicably) giving a television interview and, well, he had this to say about Ohio State's defense:

Yes, that is Oklahoma's backup, thoroughly unproven quarterback calling out one of the best defenses in the nation by saying this:

"I think they have a really basic defense. Baker (Mayfield)... he'll light them up. I'm really looking forward to it, and if my number's called, I think I can do the same."

This isn't going to go over well.

After two games against admittedly weak opponents, the Buckeyes rank within the top five in the country in both total defense and points allowed per game and, frankly, Ohio State has been stifling. There are five-star recruits at virtually every level for Urban Meyer and company and, at this point, Kendall should probably pray that Mayfield enjoys success and stays on the field healthy to avoid having the rude wake-up call that would accompany his first jog on to the field.

Bulletin board material is overrated, but this is a great one.
