Four-star DT Tommy Togiai announces huge commitment

Four-star defensive tackle Tommy Togiai of Pocatello (Id.) Highland announced his commitment on Wednesday.

Four-star defensive tackle Tommy Togiai of Pocatello (Id.) Highland announced his commitment to Ohio State on Wednesday via Twitter.

"Ohio State is getting a leader by example," Togia's Highland coach, Gino Mariani, told 247Sports (with subscription). "He is the total package. He is very intelligent. He is strong. He plays sideline to sideline."

Togiai recorded 93 tackles and 11 sacks in 11 games while helping lead Highland to an Idaho state championship in 2017.

The 6-foot-3, 290-pound lineman ranks as the No. 9 defensive tackle and No. 126 overall prospect for the 2018 national recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports.

Ohio State currently has the top-ranked class for the 2018 national recruiting cycle with three 5-star, 16 4-star and two 3-star commitments, according to 247Sports' team rankings.
