Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide have utilized former players during practices this season and, upon hearing news of that activity, Ohio State's Urban Meyer put on a show for the assembled media earlier this week. Lori Schmidt of WBNS-FM 97.1 asked Meyer about the NCAA rule that allows such activity from former players and, well, here is that exchange:

Alabama famously used Trent Richardson to simulate Leonard Fournette earlier this season and, while that may not be related, the Crimson Tide were able to bottle up LSU's star running back for the most part. Meyer's assertion that he did not know about the rule is up for debate, but he certainly entertained the media by stating that "it's got (him) thinking" and there might be a few former Buckeyes on speed dial for the program in the near future.
Ohio State has a monster game against Michigan in less than two weeks and, in the lead up to "The Game", perhaps the Buckeyes can find stand-ins for the likes of Jabrill Peppers, Jourdan Lewis, Amara Darboh and others. After all, there is nothing against NCAA rules about doing so and, now, Urban Meyer is fully aware of that stipulation.
