Nebraska got the win over No. 22 Oregon in Lincoln on Saturday, with the Cornhuskers forcing a turnover on downs while up 35-32. However, it probably shouldn't have been 35-32, and Helfrich is the reason why.

After scoring the opening touchdown of the game, Oregon decided to go for a two-point conversion. They converted it, and they went for two on each of their following four touchdowns. However, all of those attempts failed. If Oregon had just taken the PAT on all five touchdowns and converted, the now hypothetical game would have been tied at 35.
If it had worked and Oregon had won by two or whatever, people would be hailing Helfrich as a genius. Instead, he took a risk, it failed, and now he has to face the repercussions of that decision.
Today proved that college football isn't Madden; you can't just go for two every time.
