Penn State mounts huge comeback to upset Wisconsin in Big Ten title game

What a finish!

There were some big questions going into this Big Ten title game about whether No. 6 Wisconsin or No. 7 Penn State could sneak into the College Football Playoff.

We still don't have an answer, but at least we know which team to question now.

Penn State rallied from a 28-7 deficit to stun Wisconsin with a 38-31 win to take the Big Ten crown. Wisconsin had a chance late on a fourth down in Penn State territory, but running back Corey Clement was stuffed a yard short on the attempt.

With the win, there is now the speculation if Penn State is deserving of a Playoff spot. On Tuesday, Playoff chairman Kirby Hocutt said that Ohio State and Penn State "weren't close" in terms of resume, but a big win over Wisconsin could move the Nittany Lions a significant amount up the rankings. With Washington and Clemson winning their title games, though, will there be a spot for Penn State to take?

Looks like we will have to wait until noon on Sunday to see exactly what the Playoff selection committee values. Is it the best team, or the team with a conference title?
