Purdue was one of a handful of schools to fire its coach mid-season this year and seems to have found a replacement fairly quickly. Les Miles was thought to be a top candidate, but he is now in the running for the Houston head coaching job.

That pretty much left P.J. Fleck from Western Michigan and Jeff Brohm from Western Kentucky to duke it out for the position with Tom Herman taking the head coaching job at Texas. It looks like Purdue has settled on its next head coach and we unfortunately won't have any boat rowing.

And it sounds like Feldman is pretty impressed with the hire as well, which should excited Boilermakers fans.
