RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - AUGUST 11: Michael Phelps of the United States shakes hands with Ryan Lochte of the United States after winning the Men's 200m Individual Medley Final on Day 6 of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium on August 11, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There's someone out there who was faster than Phelps and Lochte, but he isn't a swimmer

Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte have been dominating the pool for years now and it didn't come overnight. It came from years of hard work starting at a super young age. Well, when they were both just little tykes, there was definitely one swimmer better than both of them and you will not believe who it was.

Forward for the Atlanta Hawks, Kris Humphries, is that man. He was a world-class swimmer at a young age, but actually quit swimming because he was too good at it. That's what he told People magazine in 2003 anyway:

"I was so good at a young age that I got a little burnt out," Humphries said. "I also grew up in the Michael Jordan era ... for me, I watched [basketball] and saw it as a challenge. It's hard to stay focused on something when you have a ton of success at a young age, so I picked up basketball a little later and rolled with that."

There's even photographic proof of Humphries' dominance thanks to atlantahawks.com's KL Chouinard.

How's that for dominance? Just remember that while Michael Phelps is winning a record number of Olympic medals, that could have easily been Kris Humphries. And who knows? It might have saved Humphries the trouble of getting hitched to a Kardashian too.
