Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte have been dominating the pool for years now and it didn't come overnight. It came from years of hard work starting at a super young age. Forward for the Atlanta Hawks, Kris Humphries, is that man. He was a world-class swimmer at a young age, but actually quit swimming because he was too good at it. That's what he told People magazine in 2003 anyway:
"I was so good at a young age that I got a little burnt out," Humphries said. "I also grew up in the Michael Jordan era ... for me, I watched [basketball] and saw it as a challenge. It's hard to stay focused on something when you have a ton of success at a young age, so I picked up basketball a little later and rolled with that."

There's even photographic proof of Humphries' dominance thanks to atlantahawks.com's KL Chouinard.
How's that for dominance? Just remember that while Michael Phelps is winning a record number of Olympic medals, that could have easily been Kris Humphries. And who knows? It might have saved Humphries the trouble of getting hitched to a Kardashian too.
