Bill Belichick lost big in his college coaching debut, but his girlfriend Jordon Hudson stole the spotlight, anyway.

Hudson, 24, was shown smiling on the sidelines during North Carolina's 48-14 loss to TCU on Monday night, and it was enough to spark a wave of memes and viral posts. Fans in Chapel Hill leaned into the moment, waving signs that featured Belichick's infamous beach yoga photo reimagined as "Air Jordon." Others sported custom jerseys and t-shirts that made Hudson the unofficial face of the Tar Heels' opener.

Barstool's Dave Portnoy called one fan sign an "all time Top 1," and plenty online agreed. Social media chatter shifted quickly from the Tar Heels' blowout defeat to the coach's new relationship — with Hudson becoming the unexpected headline from Belichick's long-awaited college debut.
As for the game itself, it unraveled quickly after a promising start. UNC scored on its opening drive before surrendering 41 straight points. Quarterback Gio Lopez threw a pick-six and was eventually benched for Max Johnson, who connected with his brother Jake for a late touchdown. By then, the Horned Frogs had piled up more than 500 yards of offense and the seats at Kenan Stadium were nearly empty.

Belichick was blunt afterward. "Give credit to TCU, they came out and did a good job. They were the better team tonight. We have quite a bit to work on."
But online, the verdict was already in: the Tar Heels got buried, while Jordon Hudson came away with the win.
