Football player about to start his college career killed at the young age of 19

So senseless.

A high school football player who was about to start his college playing career was shot dead as he was selling video games he advertised on Craigslist, according to Local 10 News in Miami.

Brian Brown, 19, was slated to go to California on July 1 and play football on a full scholarship at Merced College. The 6-foot-2, 260 pound defensive tackle and fullback was ranked as the 127th-best prospect in the State of Florida by MaxPreps He was a graduate of North Miami Beach Senior High School. ]

Brown had some video games he wanted to sell, so he placed an ad on Craigslist. When he went to complete the sale, he was shot three times in the back, according to News 10. His girlfriend drove him to the hospital, but he died.

"I don't know how I'm going to live without Brian. I don't know how," Brown's mother, Landcy Brown told News 10.

Miami-Dade Police, in information on its Facebook page, is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information about the shooting.
