Five-star ATH Bru McCoy names the schools he's hearing from the most

Of course they're the big boys.

The 2019 recruiting class is jam-packed with top-end talent and ATH prospect Bru McCoy is among the top names in the group. The 6'3, 215-pound two-way force from Santa Ana (Calif.) currently ranks as the No. 8 prospect in the country by the 247Sports composite and McCoy is also the top ATH prospect in the nation. With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that he owns a laundry list of impressive offers and, in speaking with Blair Angulo of 247Sports, the rising senior outlined some of the programs he continues to hear from with high frequency.

"Always USC, Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Notre Dame and Oregon. I don't want to take any officials in the spring, but I want to get up to some spring games for sure. I was thinking about making it down to Norman for the Oklahoma spring game and also Tuscaloosa for the Alabama spring game. Those are two I've started to work on scheduling.

"Michigan I also want to set up, but not necessarily the game. I want to see the campus and talk to coach Jim Harbaugh. I know they have some new coaches up there and I want to start building relationships."

247's "Crystal Ball" projections place USC in the lead for McCoy's services and that makes a great deal of sense given the geography in play. In the same breath, there is a long way to go when it comes to the recruiting calendar and, simply put, head coaches like Nick Saban, Jim Harbaugh and others don't usually go quietly into the night.

McCoy will definitely be a prospect to closely monitor in the coming days and, this week, he provided a bit of a look behind the curtain with regard to which programs could be in the mix.

Here are some of his highlights:
