4-star safety C.J, Smith has announced he's decomitting from an SEC power

He said it's business, not personal.

This is not a good night for the Florida Gators.

C.J. Smith, a 4-star  safety from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, FL., announced via Twitter he's decomitting.

After talking it over with my family and coaches I feel like it would be in my best interests to de-commit from the University of Florida. Also, I would like to thank Coach Jim McElwaine, and his entire coaching staff for believing in me and my athletic abilities. It's nothing personal, just business.

Smith, a 2018 recruit, is the No. 17-ranked prospect at his position, according to 247 Sports. The 6'2, 193 pounder has been heavily recruited by many of the power programs in the country, including Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Tennessee. There's no word, yet, on where he may be leaning, but he certainly has a number of interesting options.
