CBS Sports' bowl projections have an absurd College Football Playoff

What? Them as No. 1???

Well, at least this is different from what everyone else is projecting!

CBS Sports released their bowl projections on Thursday, and their projections for the four College Football Playoff teams will certainly raise an eyebrow to many. Instead of Clemson, Alabama, or even Florida State as the No. 1 overall seed, CBS pegged reigning Big 12 champs Oklahoma as the No. 1 team in the land.

Their projected opponent? No. 4 Notre Dame.

Oklahoma is an interesting No. 1 team. While the Sooners do have a bunch of talent returning from last year's Playoff team, they also have some pretty big obstacles to get over this season. They play Houston and Ohio State in the first month of the season, which is definitely a demanding task. If they are able to get wins in both games, though, then they would definitely be deserving of the No. 1 ranking early in the season.

Clemson and Alabama make up the No. 2 and No. 3 matchup as a rematch of last year's title game, but this projection would have both the Pac-12 and the Big Ten getting left out altogether. Ohio State and Michigan fans will certainly be happy about that one.

Other interesting bowl matchups in this projection are Georgia vs. Florida State in the Orange Bowl, and Michigan vs. Ole Miss in the Outback Bowl.
