Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Pumped About Texas Tech's New Threads

Former Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes has done well for himself in the NFL. Or so we hear.

Mahomes, now the multiple Super Bowl-winning quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, celebrated the Red Raiders and their new Adidas uniforms on social media, showing that his heart is still with the program.

The Red Raiders made the announcement with a picture of players sporting the new threads. They made the switch from Under Armor.

Mahomes is a member of the Texas Tech Hall of Fame. He has been with Adidas since turning pro.

"Mahomes has been part of the Addisas family since joining the NFL and is prominently featured in the campaign to reveal the long-term partnership," wrote Ed Easton Jr. of USA Today. "The reigning Super Bowl MVP's logo is also on display, adding another signature touch to the collaboration.

"During his college career at Texas Tech, Mahomes accumulated 11,252 passing yards and 115 total touchdowns in three seasons. He was selected tenth overall in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Chiefs and has consistently supported the Red Raiders program."

Not surprisingly, Mahomes is the favorite to win NFL MVP for 2024.

"Mahomes' odds to win MVP are +450 if he wins it at DraftKings.com," wrote Micahel David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "If Mahomes does win the award, he'll join Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Johnny Unitas and Jim Brown as the only three-time winners of the Associated Press MVP award.

"In a sign of how much optimism there is after his stellar rookie year, Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is tied for the second-shortest odds to win MVP, at +850. Bills quarterback Josh Allen is also at +850."
