FOX personality Colin Cowherd isn't shy about giving his opinion on games, and he took a strong stance on this Saturday's contest between Michigan and Wisconsin. In fact, he anointed it as his "Lock of the Year" in backing Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.
"Wisconsin got unbelievable breaks against Michigan State.... Michigan's turned the ball over twice in 300 snaps. They don't turn the ball over. Their defensive line may be the best in the country. Wisconsin's completely limited offensively. It's in the Big House. Michigan's not played great football so that they'll be cocky."
In terms of actual analysis, there isn't a ton here, as it is basically built on Wisconsin's lack of spectacle in decimating Michigan State a week ago. To be fair, Michigan is a double-digit favorite at home, so it isn't as if Cowherd is out on a limb, but if the Wolverines are unable to take care of business in what looks to be a favorable spot, Cowherd will look quite silly.
The concept of giving out a "Lock of the Year" is pretty funny anyway, given the aforementioned point spread, but that never stopped Colin Cowherd before and it certainly didn't in this particular instance.
