Hot seat conversations are in full bloom in early August and, even if some of that chatter may die down as the college football season approaches, that might not be the case for Tennessee head coach Butch Jones. The embattled coach is seemingly always mentioned in discussions about those with little to no wiggle room and we can now add Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports to the mix with that belied.

With regard to coaches that could be in trouble, Cowherd said this about Jones. (h/t Saturday Down South)
"First of all, if there is a hot seat, the guy at Tennessee — Butch Jones — should be the leader in the clubhouse at 2-1. Forget 9-1 — 2-1. They play Georgia Tech and Florida in the first three weeks. He loses one he could be fired. Two? He's done. He'll be fired by Week 3."
It may be a little aggressive to think that Jones would be fired after losing to both Georgia Tech and Florida in the early going. With that said, Tennessee almost certainly needs a strong showing from a season-long perspective to save Jones' job and beginning the campaign with two early losses could be disastrous.
Only time will tell but add Cowherd's name to the chorus when discussing Butch Jones and potential doom.
