It appears that the two leading daily fantasy sports websites have a new legal battle on their hands.

ESPN is reporting that former Northern Illinois running back Akeem Daniels filed a class-action lawsuit against Draft Kings and Fanduel on Wednesday, alleging that the "sites' use of student-athletes can lead to point-shaving and fixing."
Here's more on the reasoning behind the lawsuit:
The lawsuit says FanDuel and DraftKings put Daniels and others "in an unwanted state of fear and concern of the risk of being contacted by speculators who have a financial interest" in their performances. It said the sites have "immeasurably altered the college football and basketball environment."
Daily fantasy sports have blown up over the past couple of years, but there is a point where this lawsuit seems a little frivolous. The same risks and concerns raised here by Daniels could also be alleged to exist in legitimate gambling sites and sports books, where a lot more money is often at stake.
It will be interesting to see where this goes, but at the very least, it is more unwanted legal attention for the two websites that are currently under intense scrutiny.
