In Friday's game, Western Michigan defensive back Asantay Brown took a nasty blindside hit from Toledo's Alonzo Russell and left the field on a stretcher.
Brown was nowhere near the ball when he was hit, but the refs did not call a penalty at first. Eventually, it was declared targeting and Russell was taken out of the game.
