The college football world has been stunned by the senseless death of promising young man

This is just awful.

UAB and former Notre Dame running back Greg Bryant has passed away after being shot in West Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday morning. He is from nearby Delray Beach. The passenger, Maurice Glover, and Bryant were found in the southbound lane of Interstate 95 on Saturday, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Bryant was living in a North Miami hotel preparing for his move to Birmingham to join UAB's football team in 2016.

Bryant was a four-star recruit back in 2013, and had committed to play with Notre Dame. Bryant rushed for 303 yards and three touchdowns over two seasons before incurring academic issues in South Bend. He transferred to a JUCO in Miami for 2015, and had recently committed to play with UAB in 2017.
