Dorian Gerald is a coveted recruit not only because he’s skilled, but because he’ll be able to play right away as a JUCO transfer. The South Carolina native dropped his top five list with a bit of a surprise as his top pick:

He’s got a pretty SEC-heavy list with Tennessee at the top followed by South Carolina, Louisville (the lone ACC exception), Florida and LSU. The 6’3″, 255-pound strong-side defensive end is ranked as the No. 2 strong side defensive in the JUCO class of 2018 and the top recruit in the state of South Carolina.

He played this past year at College of the Canyons Cougars also has offers from Florida State, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas A&M among others.
