While Luginbill picked Clemson to take home the title in the rematch of last year's final game, he noted the winner of the game will come down to the quarterback matchup and who has more rush attempts/yards:
Quarterback Deshaun Watson rushed for 73 yards on 20 attempts, but threw for over 400 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in last year's thrilling title game.
After rushing for over 1,000 yards last year, Watson attempted more than 50 fewer times and dropped a full yard per carry for 581 yards this year.
Hurts has rushed for 891 yards this season, good for 4.9 yards per carry as a true freshman. He's shown his legs in the biggest of moments for Alabama (his big run against LSU shut the door on the Tigers) and he'll aim to do the same against Clemson. He's also thrown for 2,620 yards, 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
