We generally have an idea of which players are going to be great in the 2016 college football season. LSU running back Leonard Fournette should have an awesome year, as should 2015 Heisman runners up Christian McCaffrey and Deshaun Watson.
Other players like J.T. Barrett, Baker Mayfield, and Dalvin Cook are certainly players we already know we need to watch, too.
But which players will breakout and surprise some people? Well, ESPN's Travis Haney tried to answer that question, naming his Top 10 players that will be breakout stars in 2016.

At the top of the list? Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson, who steadily gained attention in his true freshman season with the Cardinals. Jackson's 4.4 40-speed caught the world by storm, and his near-1,000 yards on the ground — with 11 touchdowns — proved he could be a pivotal play-maker for Louisville going forward.
If that wasn't enough, Jackson threw for 450 yards in Louisville's spring game... in the first half! He does have some work to do in the passing game, but that spring performance, with the 1,840 yards he threw for in the regular season, shows that he definitely has the ability to beat defenses with him arm, too.
Another interesting name on the list was Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason. The five-star freshman impressed a lot of fans in the spring, but head coach Kirby Smart says that Eason still has a long way to go before becoming the full-time Bulldog quarterback. However, if Eason does find his way to the starting position, then he could easily become a must-watch player in the SEC East.
