It may be spring, but ESPN already has one team that is head and shoulders above everyone else is recruiting for the 2018 class.

ESPN released their first 2018 recruiting rankings on Friday, and they have a very clear No. 1: Mark Richt and the Miami Hurricanes. Miami has 16 commitments in their class already, 11 of which rank within ESPN's Top 300 recruits.

Miami's surge in commitments over the past couple of months put them ahead of Penn State, who had been the early leader in 2018 recruiting thanks to five-star recruits Micah Parsons and Justin Fields. Penn State still ranks No. 2 in the rankings, as they have a solid class still despite no major commits in the past month.
Behind those two in the rankings are your usual powerhouses in recruiting: Ohio State, Clemson, LSU, Florida State, and Notre Dame. To some surprise, Alabama barely cracks the Top 25, as they only have three commitments for the 2018 class. It is still very early in the class, though, and it's unlikely that the Crimson Tide will stay that low in the rankings.
