While the season is still several months away, it is never too early for some preseason projecting. ESPN's Joe Schad decided to get into the projecting action and has posted his preseason Top 25.
Spring 2016 Preseason Top 25: 1) Ala 2) FSU 3) Clem 4) LSU 5) OU 6) Ohio St 7) ND 8) Mich 9) Tenn 10) Stanf 11) Ole Miss 12) UGA 13) Miamiā¦

The rankings in full:
1. Alabama
2. Florida State
3. Clemson
4. LSU
5. Oklahoma
6. Ohio State
7. Notre Dame
8. Michigan
9. Tennessee
10. Stanford
11. Ole Miss
12. Georgia
13. Miami
14. USC
15. Florida
16. Texas
17. Baylor
18. Oklahoma State
19. TCU
20. Iowa
21. Texas A&M
22. Michigan State
23. North Carolina
24. UCLA
25. Houston
The Top 4 is interesting, although Schad is likely conceding that only one team from the SEC and ACC will make the Playoff by the end of the year. If that's the case, that would mean Oklahoma and Ohio State would be joining his projected playoff, meaning the Pac-12 would be getting cut out for a second consecutive year.
