ESPN's Ivan Maisel gives an insane prediction for the 2016 Playoff

Wait, why? How?

Hey, go big or go home.

ESPN's Ivan Maisel is a respected journalist when it comes to college football, but some fans may think he's off his rocker with this prediction he made for the College Football Playoff in 2016. As a guest on the Paul Finebaum Show, Maisel gave this prediction.

That's Clemson, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Florida State, in order.

Yep. Two ACC teams.

In a vacuum, this isn't too outlandish. Florida State and Clemson should both have great teams in the 2016 season, and it won't be surprising at all if either of them makes the Playoff. But both of them? The ACC is generally seen as one of the weaker of the Power 5 conferences, so it would definitely be quite the statement for them to pull this off.

Pac-12 fans will certainly feel a certain way about being left out of the Playoff for a second consecutive year, and Michigan and Ohio State fans are likely livid at getting left out over two ACC squads.

If this did happen, the games would certainly be good. But the national media reaction would certainly be better.
