Certainly, at 6'3" and 205 pounds, the Belleville Michigan standout has demonstrated a unique combination of size, arm talent, and athleticism.

With a 5-5 record this season, undoubtedly Michigan is desperate for a quarterback. Their lack of consistency at the position has put them in jeopardy of having a losing season after going 40-3 over the previous three seasons.
In view of the Wolverines quarterback play this year, there have been three starters so far for the team, who have combined for just nine touchdown throws and nine interceptions. Not to mention, Michigan QBs this season have completed less than 60% of passes and have averaged six yards per passing attempt.
Underwood may have saw this as an opportunity to help put Michigan back on top.
To point out, he also has a connection to Michigan ex-staff member Connor Stalions, who was behind the advanced scouting scandal from 2023, as he is actually the assistant coach for Underwood at Belleville.
All in all, current Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore is happy about the signing.
