Notre Dame announced on Saturday night that a fan has passed away during their game against USC.

The school’s statement says that a 76-year-old fan went into cardiac arrest at 8:10 p.m. local time, and that attempts to resuscitate the fan were unsuccessful.

The full statement:

A 76-year-old man attending Saturday night’s Notre Dame football game went into cardiac arrest at about 8:10 p.m. Paramedics from the Notre Dame and South Bend Fire Departments and a doctor responded immediately, but their resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

The University extends its deepest condolences to the family

Notre Dame did not release the name or any other details of the fan that passed away. We send our thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of the fan.
